Vancouver, BC (May 24, 2018) – As part of the Association of Registered Graphic Designers (RGD) ongoing webinar series, Subplot Design Inc. Founder & Creative Director, Matthew Clark, took part in the latest edition: “Lessons of Failure”.

Matthew shared his story of transitioning from a hopeful doctor in high school, to realizing he wanted a career in the Creative Arts. All without going to design school (not recommended).

From a fateful conversation with his career counsellor, to unsuccessful attempts at advertising, printing t-shirts, architectural renderings, promotional merchandise, and illustration … to eventually a promo that got him his first job. What’s more, he promised embarrassing hairstyles, cheesy high-school life goals, and and some very, very bad design work.

Thanks to the RGD for inviting us to speak!
